David is the founder of Biosmarts, LLC. For 20+ years, David has gained commercial medical device and biopharmaceutical know-how as an internal leader and external consultant. In addition to 15 years as an award-winning salesperson with expertise in the hospital setting, he has held roles in sales leadership, commercial (sales, market access, and patient advocacy) training, and commercial effectiveness. He has worked with teams of 15 to 1,200 customer-facing personnel, start-ups to Big Pharma/global medical device companies, and contributors relatively new in their careers to experienced veterans. David provides strategic direction, training assets development on various platforms, delivery and facilitation, and creation and deployment of outcomes measurement tools.
David's industry experience includes the sales training and consulting firm, Advantage Partners, and manufacturers like Allergan, Genentech, Endo Pharmaceuticals, CooperSurgical, Olympus, Becton Dickinson, Ethicon, Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Sunovion Pharmaceuticals and Bioverativ (the Biogen spinoff). He earned his bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Indiana University and his MBA from the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management. David resides with his wife, three children, and dumb-as-dirt Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in Baltimore, Maryland.
